    Buried in the snow

In New York, it's a week for dark, overwhelming sounds: both on the pushing, progressively head-melting tip and on a more dreamy, shoegazy approach.

First: tonight, at Glasslands in Brooklyn , the Pendu Organization  presents SALEM. Death, darkness, poison, dancing. In the words of our SALEM contest winner: "I am a little scared. I should have drawn up a will. They might murder us all and bury us in the snow."

     Salem: Brustreet

Then Thursday, Jan 7: the launch of my very own shoegaze and dreampop DJ night, "Rage Against The Dying Of The Light", at the Bellhouse in Brooklyn.

It is shoegaze and dreampop and cuddletech and warm drinks and I am DJing and our own Ben is DJING and Dead Leaf Echo are playing and I will talk more about this later but for now the info is here.

Let's see if we survive tonight.
