New Raveonettes Video - "Boys Who Rape"
Danish co-ed duo The Raveonettes throw subtlety out the window with "Boys Who Rape," the second single from last year's LP "In and Out of Control."
The song's disturbing video, which was released this week, features jarring images of battered women and newspaper clippings detailing sexual assaults. Hammering the point home, the song's chorus repeats "Boys who rape should all be destroyed."
The serious subject matter is relatively new territory for The Raves, who usually stick with sunny surf-rock. But dark material is abundant on "In and Out of Control" - first single "Last Dance" is about repetitive overdosing - and "Boys Who Rape" is obviously no exception.
