Belated Weekly: Dreamy
Depreciation Guild — Dream About Me
Since I flaked on Squaregirl Weekly last week, here's a dreamy song for you. I am addicted in the worst way. In the sometimes-I-listen-to-it-on-repeat worst way.

Pomplamoose — Always in the Season
My friend Teddy, from Italy, turned me on to electronic artist I am Robot and Proud, from Canada, who recently toured with The Constantines, who I saw live in Atlanta with The Selmanaires, whose drummer is also in Snowden, whose singer is moving to Brooklyn next week.
So I don't really know what that all means, but I think if you play this at 11:52pm on a Tuesday in a first floor apartment on a numbered street while facing West, the space/time continuum will most likely implode.

It was 29 years ago today that John Lennon was senselessly, tragically murdered here in New York City. Amazing how his music, both as a solo artist and member of The Beatles, still resonates today.
On a side note, Lennon fans in New York should check out the Lennon NYC Years tribute exhibit at the unfortunately soon-to-be closed Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex in SoHo. Some of the artifacts are breathtaking.
