Are you quiet when you sleep?
Things I never thought I'd write about Crystal Castles:
"Alice Glass and Ethan Kath have made one of the most hallucinatingly comforting pillow-dream moments I think I'll hear in 2010."
See? I don't believe it, either, but it's true. "Celestica", an early focus track from this year's Crystal Castles ritalin package titled either Crystal Castles or II, depending upon which blog you pirate music from, is just that, though-it pans and swoons like it was produced by Four Tet, Alice Glass using her voice for something other than a scream (yes, it's possible), proving that she's an electro-punk shape-shifter on par with Nicola Kuperus.
Crystal Castles: "Celestica"
Let her sing you to sleep. Now all you black-hoodie kids have one more reason to think of little Alice when you crawl into bed at 4 A.M.
