Kanye West : give what you get
(right-click to DL, that's how we're doing this one)
Over a propulsive King Crimson sample, Kanye near chokes himself in existential dilemma, proving once again my age-old theory that he's the Dave Eggers of rap. What is power, he wonders, and more importantly does it take power to eschew power? And then, from his awesome bag of 'Ye tricks, we get a line like "At the end of the day I'm fuckin' killin' it", followed by an entire ending coda in which he ponders throwing himself out a window and ending his life.
This is beyond next-level. This is the sound of a mortal who was elevated to Jesus-like status realizing mortality...and being too fucked to care. More, please.
I really like the music, but I'm not so sure how I feel about the actual rhymes. I realize that he's all eff-the-world after the TSwift debacle, but half of this stuff isn't the kind of lyric I'm looking for in my headphones. That's on the first listen; I reserve the right to change my mind on that. It goes on a really long time, too. An uncomfortably long time.
Um, is Kayne going to kill himself? Should we be worried?

Not only is his music dope, so is his taste. Check out his lumberjack look. And then he throws on a scarf and some bling. He has godly sound and style.
