Song of the Day: Bad Veins

One of my favorite breakout acts of 2009 was Cincinnati duo Bad Veins, who released their debut self-titled LP in the early part of the year. First single Gold and Warm was one of my top 10 songs of 2009 (check out that bass line!), and I had a chance to catch them live over the summer, in a performance that featured unofficial third member "Irene," a 1973 reel to reel recorder that plays the band's backing tracks.

This week, in conjunction with the announcement of an 10-date tour with We Were Promised Jetpacks, Bad Veins released their second single, "Go Home." Irene is featured prominently.

Check out "Go Home," our song of the day, here. Tour dates after the jump.
