Bricks and Morter

I never paid enough attention to Editors. Or maybe I paid just the attention they deserved.

(That is to say, enough to joke about starting my own band, Copywriter and the Editorial Assistants.)

This new album, In This Light & on This Evening…it’s a game-changer for me, on par with how I felt when I was forced, finally, after scoffing and ignoring, to listen to all of Interpol’s Turn On The Bright Lights from start to finish.

In This Light & on This Evening resurrects the production name of the 90s, Flood, and creates a moody, electronic background for those cold velvet vocals. My favorite is this song, “Bricks and Mortar”, for the way the last chorus ends in a snarl that actually begins the rest of the album.
